Station Three is located along Grand Street and is close to the Oakland Estuary. Opened in 1923, this single engine company station still houses the apparatus, however, the crew now resides in a temporary facility (a 2 story house) immediately next door. Station Three protects the Gold Coast area, the Fortmann and Alameda Marinas, and the middle of the island. The engine at Station Three responds to all structure fire responses citywide and staffs both the fireboat and water rescue boat.
